Bassett Healthcare Announces Evening Medic Course

Bassett Healthcare's Center for Rural EMS Education recently announced a
new part-time evening paramedic program. This course will be run at Cobleskill College, Fall 2008, on Mondays and Thursday
from 7pm to 11pm during the school year with an occasional Saturday.
NYS Honors Two at Memorial Service

The names of two EMS professionals were added to the New York State EMS Memorial in Albany today. Matthew Lamb of Empire State Ambulance and Deborah Reeve of FDNY EMS were honored for giving their lives
in the line of duty. Lamb died when his ambulance was involved in a motor-vehicle crash and Reeve died from an illness contracted during the 9/11 recovery operations.

Columbia County Participates in Hudson River MCI Drill

Agencies from Greene and Columbia Counties held a joint mass-casualty drill today, which simulated the sinking of a small cruise ship near the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse. Multiple agencies from Columbia and Greene Counties participated, as did the New York State Police and SEMO. Click "more" for photos!
