Hudson River MCI Drill - 9/29/07
On September 29, 2007, agencies from Greene and Columbia Counties held a joint mass-casualty drill, which simulated the sinking of a small cruise ship near the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse. Columbia County agencies participating included the Columbia County EMS Coordinators Office, Greenport Rescue Squad, Hudson City Fire Department, Columbia County 911, Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office, Columbia County Sheriffs Office, and the Columbia County Emergency Management Office. The Athens Village Fire Department was the lead agency and did a nice job coordinating the day's events.
